Cablevision Goes Mobile

The mobile web is dead….the real web is the mobile web….we’ve heard it often enough.
Whatever side you pick it doesn’t matter. Big corporations still move
into the mobile web space. Today Cablevision announced, that their web portala for OPtimum Online is now available on mobile devices. Optimum.net is ready to pick up a few of optimum online’s 2.5 million clients and allows the users to check emails, watch local news or weather and IO TV listings.

I guess I don’t have to say it again, but the mobile web is here :)
It just doesn’t fit in today’s news, b/c it’s recession and nobody is allowed to announce good news.

Mobile Web Games

Interesting…the mobile web is not even really here…and people already talking about Mobile Web games.  Mobile web games is definitely a super hot topic and not even on the radar of most magazines and blogs.

With the growing speed of  3G and UMTS as well as better mobile phones, it can be a very interesting way to promote interactive web games to users around the world.

Nokia Wants To Be No.1 On the Mobile Web

Businessweek has an interesting article about Nokia out today. The story pretty much
explains where Nokia is and wants to head in the future.

It’s not really worth to summarize the article, however I am not sure if Nokia will be able to
fight the current Iphone and Gphone craziness.

Sometimes it is not about market share, but marketing. The US market is still important
and Nokia is having a hard time. However with the smart people in the company and acquisitions like Navteq, there is much room for improvement.

Will be exciting to see what’s going to happen with the new Nokia generation.

OpenFrame with Openpeak

Interesting design over at Openpeak. A telephone, messaging, mobile web device for consumers at home.

I really like the device. I myself would love to have a smaller device in my hand, instead of running around with the laptop all day :)
